Can the water in these tanks be heated? I want to mount one in my van for carpet cleaning.

This tank is made of HDPE. In general, HDPE has a rating of -50° F (-46° C) to 180° F (82° C). You can research HDPE online to find more accurate information, depending on how you would be using it. Some variables are short term, or constant use at a specific temperature. Prolonged use at extreme low or high temperatures will shorted the life expectancy of the tank. -
How do you keep the water from getting mold/not safe to drink?
Thanks for the question. It is best to replace the water every six months. Also keeping the tank in a place with a cool temperature between 50°F –70°F, and out of direct sunlight.

Thanks for the question. This tank does not have a water level gauge or a reading. But sice the tank is rectangular in shape, you could easily add marks to see the water level. This tank is 29 inches tall. So at 7.25 inches from the bottom, that would be 25 gallons. 14.5 inches from the bottom, that would be 50 gallons. And at 21.75 inches from the bottom, that would be 75 gallons.
